Everyday we are bombarded by thousands of images. Some are by choice. Most however are intrusions into our lives. The sheer speed and amount of images that we are presented with poses a problem - how many of these images have meaning for us? When an images speaks to us and we "like" it, do we stop to understand what it is that grabbed our attention? So much of "liking" an image is often about eye candy. I often wonder about what we are missing by not slowing down enough to read images as we do when reading a book. If there is an answer to these questions, it might be to hit the pause button and take the time to review images that catch our eye.
